On of the most important geological features one can find on just about all of the Bahama Islands is coastal wetlands. Guarded as one of the most important coastal and inland features, wetlands serve multiple roles and are the bed rock to our precious and fragile ecosystem here into he Bahamas.
Coastal wetlands serve as nursery for young fishes and natural coastal barriers during storms and hurricanes. They are also excellent inland shelter for migrating birds and other indigenous species.
SeaSpray’s mission is to help increase local and international awareness and appreciation for systems that have such a subtle and major impact on out daily lives and livelihood.
